The fine park near my house By Jon Wim There is a small park in front of my house that I often take a jog around. It is a fine park even though it is only less than 4 acres big. For one thing, the park is shady and peaceful. That’s the main criteria for me – A park has to contribute to my peace of mind, and that is what it does. I love going there, and not have to worry about getting bothered. There are many big trees 60 feet high which provide a lot of shade from the noon day sun. It’s a nice place to take a short snooze or a siesta, but you don’t see people napping there that too often, probably because of the fear of mugging (times have changed, I guessed). This park is the perfect place for me to take a jog, and at an even pace, I can jog around it in about 5 minutes. Heck, there is even a chin up bar and a sit up bench in the park. On even the hottest days, the park is a nice respite to take a breather, because of all the matured trees there. The best part about the park is that nobody bothers you there and anyway, there are not many people there most of the time. So, whenever people in my neighborhood want to chill out, all they need to do is take a little walk in the park, and I bet they will feel a little better for it.
